Kerntnershtrasse (Karntner Stra? e) – the title of this street literally means "Karintiyskaya Street". Since the Middle Ages, it was the main artery conducting on the South through the mountain pass Zemmering to Carinthia and to the Adriatic coast. Crossing this part of "the internal small town" (Inner Stadt), the road has given it strongly pronounced commercial temper, having created here shopping centre where there arrived products from the South.
