The title of Kolmarkt Street (Kohlmarkt) in a literal translation means «the coal market». The title not casual as here once truly did business coal. Кольмаркт shows one of the oldest streets of Vienna. As well as on the Graben, on Kolmarkt the unique historical constructions which have sheltered expensive shops are placed a lot of.

At an entrance on Kolmarkt of an eye involuntarily address on the West where the copper domes which have become green from time Mikhaelertrakta, a facade of a pravitelsky palace of

Over many known architects, including Hans Hollyayn have worked. One of the oldest constructions of Kolmarkt is the fountain which has been constructed in 1391. At the very end of the XIX century a fountain absolutely reconstructed, using the remained initial plans.
