DEXIA TOWER

This is a mixed-use complex built during the 50‘s and 60‘s on the grounds of Brussels former North Train Station. An early sketch showed two staggered cylinders of different heights. The design later evolved to two rectangular volumes, at angles to each other and located around a trapezoidal core from an early project rejected becasue of its 1 79.2 m height. All subsequent projects feature the same

general layout with glazed sloping roofs.
