Building of parliament (Parlamentsgebaude)
Shaking zdaniyeavstriysky parliament (Parlamentsgebaude) causes associations with temples of Old Greece. The traditional drevny architecture has been chosen for a parliamentary palace not as a case – specifically Greece is considered a cradle of world democracy.
This fine palace was built in 1874-1884 by Teofil Hansen. The designer, a long time lived in Greece, enamoured of its mythology and the architecture, all details of own creation has subordinated to uniform idea. The ensemble of parliament left large-scale, complete, striking imagination.
Building of parliament (Parlamentsgebaude)
The entrance group of a structure is formed by a stately Corinthian portico, topped timpany with fine relief images. The facade is decorated by strong columns and statues. On two parties from an entrance portal sculptures of ancient gods are established: Zeus, Athena, Apollo, Hera, Gefesta.

The attention entices the big fountain established at an entrance in parliament. In its composition the figure of Athena of the Pallada in snow-white clothes and a gilt helmet, with a spear and Niki’s figure in hands dominates. Four allegorical images of the main rivers of Austro-Hungary are placed with feet of Athena, in an environment of cupids. The plastic group of a fountain was created by group of architects led by K.Kundmann, at a turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
Marble hall
Innumerable tourists come to a parliamentary palace to be photographed against his stately facade. On weekdays access to a building is limited, excursions on internal rooms are probable only on days off.
Historical conference hall
Tourists pass through an atrium in a palace and get to the Marble hall, on structure similar to the Greek Parthenon. The interior of a structure has something in common with its external registration. All main halls of parliament are issued in ancient style. In days of war the building of parliament of Austria has seriously suffered from air raids. Chancellor Charles Renner declared then the decision absolutely to return a masterpiece of the Austrian architecture. Restoration lasted till 1956. Now deputies of parliament again sit at a building.
