Investigating a proposed architectural design via modelling and sculpting allows the form to be developed through the manipulation of shapes, planes, lines and edges. This design process uses the properties of the modelling material to create architectural form. Scale is not an initial consideration. Experimental modelling is definitely driven by the idea that a building’s form follows its function.
