The new office complex was developed around late-19th-century villa with the aim of allowing he old structure’s character to predominate. The east wing cleverly integrates two units built n the 1960s and 1970s. Both the new and the edesigned wings clearly differentiate themselves rom the villa.

NEW CENTER FOR LINGUISTICS RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY SAARBRUCKEN UNIVERSITY
The predominating materials inside are dark granite, fairfaced concrete anil cherry-tree veneer. Fairfaced concrete and washed-out concrete bands define the facade. The lecture theatre on the forest side has a lamma-facode with planks of massive larchwood.
